Acrylic paint on mount board 52 x 42 x 3 cm 2026 I am an architect based in Sheffield. Having always drawn and painted, recent retirement has enabled me to concentrate more seriously on my work as an artist. My primary interest is the built environment both historic and contemporary. I enjoy recording my travels through urban sketching. My approach is informed by my architectural background with a focus on proportion and form. I am primarily a painter interested in the surface quality of paintings. I continue to explore different media and ways of expressing ideas, working towards finding an artistic voice.
