The Football Art Prize is a new open call opportunity for artists. In 2021 & 2022 coincided with 2022 World cup year Touchstones Rochdale, with generous support from Arts Council England, have created The Football Art Prize to celebrate art and football. Artists over the age of 18 working in all two dimensional mediums including photography and moving image will be eligible. The show gives artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a regional touring exhibition opening at Touchstones Rochdale in March 2022 and touring to Sheffield and Sunderland.
Each year, alongside the exhibition, works are displayed on a virtual gallery showcasing all shortlisted works. All exhibiting artists are included in a fully illustrated print catalogue. Awards are given out to the winners in a prize giving at the start of the exhibition.
