Watercolour 35 x 45 cm 2026 I am a professional artist working in watercolour and oils. Although most of my work is based on the British landscape I also produce still life, urban and industrial scenes and figurative paintings that frequently explore notions of mortality and the passage of time. My working method in watercolour is the traditional technique of overlaid washes but also using heavily pigmented paint to achieve the effects I desire. My aim is to produce truth to nature, frequently working en plein air, leading to a sense of time and place whilst avoiding idealism.
