Richard Clements - Echoes of the Game

As an Artist I’m drawn to the quiet stories and unexpected beauty in scenes or objects that might otherwise be overlooked. Working primarily in oils, alongside pencil, ink, and watercolour sketches, I try to reference from life whenever possible as these conditions tend to bring the most energy into my work. The flexibility of oil paint lets me shift between careful attention and looser, instinctive mark‑making By exploring interesting compositions and perspectives, I aim to give everyday scenes a sense of atmosphere and presence that encourages the viewer to appreciate the landscape that exists around them.
