After reading about Jessica Naz’s life story, I created this painting, imagining the years of relentless dedication & hard work, in which she trained in all weather conditions, pushing through sore muscles and injuries, demonstrating the perseverance required to achieve so much. I also considered her future dreams and everything she hopes to accomplish both on and off the pitch. This work embodies aspiration even when no one is watching and the importance of self-belief through life’s highs and lows.
