Driven by a passion for portraiture and a lifelong love of football, especially Manchester United, my work explores nostalgia surrounding the early 2000s era of the game I grew up watching. I aim to create original pieces that capture the culture, emotion, and identity tied to football history. Using multiple references allows me to construct unique compositions rather than recreate existing imagery. Working with acrylic on canvas enables me to build layered brushstrokes through its quick-drying nature, adding depth and movement. I want viewers to feel transported back in time, creating an “if you know, you know” connection between Roy Keane and prawn sandwiches.
