Oil on Board 51 x 41 cm 2026 I am a painter without method. I express my own experiences painting what a subject is to me consciously or unconsciously. Looking back at my work, I see people, places, events and experiences translated through marks and colour. Some early works are meticulous but having proved to myself that I could imitate real life I became free to re-perceive objects through line and colour, offering a different understanding. Without forced naturalism, you are free to follow mood and intention. Often the act of painting itself leads deeper into the subject, capturing something the spectrum of the eye cannot comprehend. Through life experience, witnessing events and self exploration, I developed my own perspective and engagement with the world.
