In 2022, because its islands will disappear and populations dispersed, the government of Tuvalu created a ‘digital nation’ to record people and their culture. My rafts carry people, their homes, culture and football. On one some ejit has kicked the ball in the sea, on the other a dog has run on the pitch. It takes determination, invention and visions of a future to build a raft and play the game. Essential attributes if we are to slow and halt climate change.
