Acrylic paint, betting slip 8 x 13 cm 2021 Football and the culture surrounding it has long been a device through which I investigate further layers of the human condition. In this work I have created a narrative tying the misfortune of my beloved Sheffield United - and manager Chris Wilder, captured pitchside with his head in his hands - to the wider undercurrents of addictive behaviour and the current sports gambling crisis in Britain.
